heyy=)
today when the group of us (17 in exact) went to support 4 Generosity 2006 in the final sports heats at Toa Payoh Stadium, besides the usual stampede-like and emotion arousing cheers and screams and hugs, something really magical happened. That were the moments which were shared in gazes or words btw runners and non-runners alike. it was extremely heartening to know that someone dedicated that race she was going to run to a fellow classmate who just ran her own event and which unfortunately did not match up to her own standards. However, for the cheerers at the sides, seeing the runners put in their UTMOST efforts and gasping for oxygen to fill their pumping red blood cells were more than enough to cause tears welling up in all of our eyes. Thats the kind of tears pau and i and im sure many more experienced without knowing exactly why. Thats the kind of tears that will be stored in our own memories and lasts forever more! its that kind of magical feeling...
and so... standing as a GYian today!.... I strongly urge all 100 % of us to put that equal amt of effort into everything we do as a class!=) Remember the efforts of those put into races which gain maybe only about 1/4 of the class spirit points compared to the class cheer which we HAVE TO PUT IN EFFORT TO in order to win! Nothing comes by sheer luck or chance... it requires effort...but its also this effort that will make us so happy at the end of the day. Without maximum output of effort, even if we win, nothing in the world will make us happy. Dont underestimate our own potential as well as others...=) yup. so continue putting our act together and everyone jia you!
